If your child is in year 2, you may well have spent many recent tea-times hearing all about Barnaby Bear and his travels in France! Your child may have also told you about the special French Day held in year 2.

The children dressed up in traditional French costume and enjoyed a French style breakfast – not many of us liked the French cheese but the ‘wine’ went down well!

The children used the internet to do some research leading to a role play session in French! We also used the internet to find pictures of France. We used some of the pictures later in the day in an art lesson, when the children sketched some fabulous pictures of France’s most famous landmark – the Eiffel Tower.

We all had an exciting day, learned a lot about another culture, practiced our speaking, drama, art and ICT, and thought this was a fun way to end our latest geography topic!
